Alexis Scianna

My name is Alexis Scianna. I am twenty years old and I became involved with EMS when I was seventeen. I started by volunteering at Seymour Ambulance in June of 2004.  In 2005 I started to work for Emergency Resource Management where I am currently employed.  While I was working for ERM I also attended school at UCONN, where I completed my first year as a political science major.  In June of 2006 I decided to return home and started working full time at Access Ambulance in Stamford.  There I was working both as an EMT and dispatcher..  In August of 2007 in order to be closer to home I began working at Bridgeport Hospital in the emergency room as a tech.  In October of 2007 I was hired part time at AMR Bridgeport.

After experiencing a career in EMS I realized I wanted to become a paramedic. So that is why I enrolled in the JHPC Paramedic Program.  After I finish the program I plan to return to school and finish my bachelors degree.
