John E. Kahyaoglu
I was born February 14,1988. I was born at Griffin Hospital to Dawn and Erguder
Kahyaoglu. I attended Ansonia schools my whole life from kindergarten through
high school. I graduated from Ansonia High School in 2006. I’ve been training in
martial arts since 1996, achieving my black belt in 2001. I am currently a 2nd
degree black belt and teach martial arts to children and adults ranging anywhere
from three years old to adults.
I joined the junior corps of Ansonia Rescue Medical Services (ARMS) when I was 14 years old. While in the junior corps I obtained my first aid and CPR certifications and later my MRT. In 2005 I took an EMT bridge class and received my EMT in 2006. In 2007 I received my “Q” license, certifying me to be able to drive our heavy rescue truck. I currently volunteer at ARMS every Saturday night and pick-up open shifts as needed during the week.
I also work at my family owned restaurant in Ansonia with my parents as a cook/assistant manager and I help out with anything else as needed. I have always been fascinated with automotive repairs and older cars and in my free time I enjoy working on cars and trucks.
Due to my fascination with EMS since I was young to the present day, I have decided to continue my EMS education and further my knowledge to the paramedic level.
