Vincent Belleto
My name is VJ Belletto. I am 25 years old,
born and raised in Trumbull. I started in emergency services volunteering in my
local Fire department at the age of 16. It was not long after that I relized
being a career firefighter was what I wanted to do for a living. After high
school, I took EMT knowing it would help me achieve my goal of being a
firefighter. During the time of testing for a career department I decided to put
my EMT skills to use and get a job on an ambulance.
I then started working for AMR in
Bridgeport. Soon after I started my employment with AMR and working my first ALS
shift, nothing intrigued me more than the skills of a paramedic. I was amazed by
the difference they made in a patients out come. They truly make the difference.
From that time on I always said I would go to school for paramedic regardless of
being employed by a fire department or not. At the age of 23 I was hired by the
New Canaan Fire Dept. I have worked there for almost 3 years. It has been a
great honor to be selected for the Medic 10 program. I look forward to the
challenges and hard work ahead.
